Lance Dawes, the Independent Truck Co.'s Team Manager sent me these pics over a year ago when this truck project was in the works to celebrate Indy's 30 yr. Anniversary. Being a devout old car (chevy's only) enthusiast, this grabbed my attention. Lance scouted out this ride at a show and purchased it for the celebration. A few weeks after he got it, he got rear-ended on one of the highways of L.A. (see pic below).
His crew worked hard to get the truck fixed.
Here is the truck below ready to tour the USA in celebration of Indy's 30th anniversary tour 2008. The journey awaits........
This truck was accessorized with logos on both doors and a custom striping showing dedication to : the late - Mr. Fautso Vitello, Independent Trucks & Thrasher Magazines founder.
