check the november 09 issue of skateboarder featuring lance on the cover. front side invert ON the ladder ?!?!?! that is one of the best covers ever. so look closer at the cover for you older guys, the skateboarder logo is the one they used in the 70's. i also dig lance's socks (skateboarder mag-old style) and late 70's spray fade on his rails. i was told this is at lance's house. future primitive.

80's skate chooze

back in the early to mid 80's we only wore converse chuck taylors. but these were our other option: "WINOs." They gripped like rubber cement and looked cool when you went to the show later. oh yeah they were hella cheap. so here are 2 styles of the wino's you probably never saw before: the velcro top and the mid top. back then you were the MAN if you could find the mid tops. only 3 people i saw with these were: tommy g., roskopp and meekster. the irony today is all of the skate brands are copying this shoe and charging big $$$$ for them. get with it, winos are called winos because only winos wore these 3 dollar shooze,
and us broke skaters.

out of RESPECT to the RHPS they made their logo likes ours. not for sale just for their crew, we are cool with that.their crew made their own underground park in their hood - build your own. thanks for the flattery.

old old old skool

Venice Park 10.09

the New Old news. The Venice Skate park opened earlier this month. the town of the dogs gets their own. designed by mess, lance, bart and crew, word has it that this park is fast and very good. bring the family down for a day of rolling. respects to the locals and a special dedication to "polar bear" - this park is named after the o.g. legend.
